First things first...Book your caterer!
It's important to setup your tastings, and decide on a caterer. This will be a large part of your wedding budget, and will determine how your event will flow, how much space you will need on your table and/or in the actual hall. So before you start planning to have a photo booth or 20 candles on your table, let's get the food booked!
Your Photographer and Videographer
Finding the right photographer for you is a huge deal! They are with you almost the entire day, and they should be working hard to make you feel beautiful, comfortable, and carefree. Plus, their shooting and editing style should be everything you imagined for your day. These are your memories that they are capturing, and you want those pictures and video to be something you look back on over and over again.
Hotels can book up quickly, especially if your wedding is taking place on a holiday weekend. Typically, you can get a room block 1 year out, and it doesn't hurt to call even before then to see if they have a list to put you on. We have some great hotels all within 20 mins (Lake Geneva is super close!), so make sure to give your guests a few options.
Your Ceremony Location
Mercantile Hall can accommodate up to 150 people for indoor ceremony. Depending on your guest list size and timeline, this may not always work for you. So it's important to start your search for the right ceremony location for you and your guests. Everyone knows that besides your venue, that your dress sets the tone for the style of your event. Start the process early so that you have enough time to find the perfect dress, and have alterations. On average, it takes 4-6 months for your dress to come in, and 2 months for alterations.
